Michel Laurin

Michel Laurin has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Michel currently holds the position of President and Chief Operating Officer at Lussier. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President of National Operations, Dealer Services, and President of iAAH at iA Groupe financier. Michel also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Auto and Home Insurance Division at iA Groupe financier for over 16 years. Furthermore, Michel Laurin held roles as an administrator and president at Corporation des assureurs directs de dommages du Québec and Groupement des assureurs automobiles. Michel began their career at TD as Vice President of Actuarial and Insurance for TD Insurance. Michel Laurin previously worked as an actuarial director at L'Union Canadienne, Compagnie d'assurances.

Michel Laurin has a diverse education background. Michel attended the Séminaire de Joliette from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a degree known as D.E.S. in Formation générale. Michel then pursued a D.E.C. in Sciences pures at Collège de L'Assomption from 1980 to 1982. Afterward, they enrolled at Université Laval from 1982 to 1985, earning a B. Sc. degree in Actuariat.

In terms of additional certifications, Michel achieved the status of Fellow at the Canadian Institute of Actuaries l Institut canadien des actuaires in May 1994. Michel also became a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society in November 1993.

During their professional career, Michel participated in various educational programs. Michel was a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Chapter du Québec, starting from 2005. From 2010 to 2016, they were involved with a co-development group called La Maison des Leaders.
