Maria Concepción Hernández Saballos

Maria Concepción Hernández Saballos is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as the Regional Accountant for the Mocca USDA Project at Lutheran World Relief since January 2016. In this role, Maria is responsible for recording, controlling, and reviewing all economic operations related to the project's assigned funds across six countries in Latin America, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and internal financial policies while facilitating timely decision-making reporting. Previously, Maria worked as the Central Office Accountant at Save the Children International from November 2009 to March 2015, managing accounting operations for various projects and generating financial reports. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting and Auditing from Central America University UCA (2007-2011), a postgraduate degree in Social Project Formulation and Evaluation from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) (2019-2020), and a diploma in Business Taxation from the Tax Academy (CETAE) (2013).
