Carlos Villarreal

Carlos Villarreal has extensive experience in the finance industry. Carlos is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer at Luuna since August 2020. Prior to this, they held various roles at Linzor Capital Partners, serving as Vice President from January 2017 to August 2020, and as a Senior Associate from July 2016 to December 2016. Carlos also worked as a Vice President at Evercore Mexico Capital Partners from November 2014 to June 2016. Carlos started their career at UBS Investment Bank as an Analyst from July 2007 to June 2011, and later as a Financial Institutions Group - Analyst from July 2008 to June 2011. Carlos also had a role as an Associate at Morgan Stanley from July 2013 to November 2014. Their career started at Ixe Grupo Financiero as a Financial Analyst in the Corporate Finance Department from July 2006 to June 2007, where they played a key role in developing asset-backed securities models and working on securitized debt projects.

Carlos Villarreal pursued their undergraduate studies at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economy. Then, they attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2011 to 2013, graduating with a Master's degree in Business Administration.
