Lucien Hoffmann currently serves as the Science Director and Director of the Environmental Research and Innovation department at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology since January 2015. Alongside this role, Lucien is an Académicien in the Section of Animal and Plant Biology and Environmental Sciences at the Académie Lorraine des Sciences and holds various membership positions, including with LuxFLAG's Environment Label and Climate finance label eligibility committees, Luxinnovation GIE's Advisory Group of the Wood Cluster and Cluster Cleantech, and the shareholders committee of PHOENIX OITB. Additionally, Lucien has been the President of the Institut Grand-Ducal's Section des Sciences and a member of several significant committees, including the Strategic Partnership Coordination Committee of the European Space Resources Innovation Center and the Scientific Advisory Board of Spuerkeess Group's Climate and Nature-related Financial Risk Project. Lucien's educational background includes a Master and PhD in Plant Sciences, as well as a certificate in creating activities from university research from the University of Liège, Belgium.
