Machine Learning Engineer at Luxonis

Jakob M. began their work experience in 2019 as a Student Researcher in Cognitive Neuroscience at KU Leuven. From October 2019 to June 2020, they worked on research projects in cognitive neuroscience. In September 2020, they transitioned to a role as a Student Researcher in Computer Vision and Deep Learning at KU Leuven, where they worked until May 2021. During this time, they focused on research and projects related to computer vision and deep learning. In October 2021, Jakob started working as a Student Researcher in Uncertainty Estimation in Deep Learning at KU Leuven. Jakob held this position until June 2022, conducting research on uncertainty estimation in deep learning. In August 2022, Jakob joined Quantifly as a Data Scientist. In this role, they worked on data-driven challenges to help leaders build an organizational culture and focused on research and development of analysis algorithms automation. Finally, in March 2023, Jakob joined Luxonis as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Jakob M. began their education by completing high school at Gimnazija Bežigrad from 2012 to 2016. Jakob then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, General at the University of Ljubljana from 2016 to 2019. Following that, they attended KU Leuven where they obtained a Master's degree in Psychology: Theory and Research from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Jakob is enrolled in KU Leuven once again, pursuing an Advanced Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
