Leo Longauer

Director, Brand Protection at LVMH

Leo Longauer is an accomplished professional in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as the Director of Brand Protection and Deputy Director of Markets Protection at LVMH since June 2020, leading anti-counterfeit initiatives for 30 brands. Previously, Leo held significant roles at SWAROVSKI from September 2014 to June 2020, including Vice President of Corporate Intellectual Property, focusing on enforcement strategies for the brand. Additionally, Leo owned an intellectual property boutique, Simplerights, from September 2013 to June 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as Intellectual Property Manager at Virgin and heading Group Intellectual Property at UBS, where oversight involved comprehensive IP management across various domains. Starting a career at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property as Chef de section, Leo was responsible for coordinating trademark examination practices. An academic foundation includes a Master of Laws in IP Law and Management from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies and a law degree from the University of Bern.
