James Cregg

James Cregg has a strong background in automation and process engineering. James started their career at Counsyl in 2012, where they worked as a Protocol Scientist and Automation Engineer until 2017. After that, they joined Freenome in 2017 as a Process Engineer and later became the Manager of Process Engineering from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they are employed at Lyell Immunopharma as the Director of Automation, a position they have held since October 2021.

James Cregg completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology - Chemistry Combined at Whitman College from 1996 to 2000. Subsequently, they pursued further education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology from UC San Diego between 2003 and 2010.
