Ross Monro

Ross Monro is the current VP, Head of Growth Operations at Lyft. Prior to this, Ross Monro served as the VP, Revenue Operations at Lyft from November 2019 to December 2021. In this role, Ross Monro led a team of data scientists and analysts responsible for managing Rideshare P&L. Key responsibilities included optimizing investment and deploying budget across growth levers, pricing and margin strategy and management, forecasting and analysis of business performance, and planning and leading value-creation and cost-reduction efforts across Rideshare business.

Previously, Ross Monro worked at Alphabet Inc. from September 2013 to March 2016 as the Finance Director. In this role, Ross Monro was responsible for leading finance teams spanning a diverse portfolio of businesses, including Google Fiber, Titan Aerospace, Project Loon, Africa fiber initiatives, wifi consumer devices, and energy-related projects. Additionally, Ross Monro served as Chief of Staff to the CEO during the hypergrowth phase, defining and driving cross-team priorities and alignment as the team grew from ~300 to ~1500 in under 18 months.

Ross Monro has a proven track record in financial planning and analysis, business model development, and deal evaluation. Ross is an effective leader with experience building and developing finance teams from scratch. Ross Monro’s experience will be invaluable in their current role as VP, Head of Growth Operations at Lyft.

Ross Monro received their MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge.

Ross Monro reports to John Zimmer, President, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman. Ross Monro works with Tali Leff - VP, Product Marketing, Dominic Carr - EVP, Communications & Marketing, and Angela Westbrock - VP, Global Operations.
