Shanna Hamilton

I grew up in Churchill, Montana and attended Manhattan Christian School through to my senior year when we moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where I attended Magic Valley Christian for my last year. I went on to attend Dordt College and graduated in 2004 with my B.A. in elementary education and minor in reading. I was blessed to get a teaching job at Canyonside Christian, near Twin Falls, right away and I taught 3rd grade for four years. I was able to then stay home to raise my kids before going back to teaching in 2014 for a year of preschool.

I happily married my husband Tom right out of college. We have two wonderful children and we love living in Lynden! I am fortunate to have family here and we love spending time together playing games, camping, hiking, and making music.

Teaching is such a wonderful part of my life. I love spending time guiding and observing a child’s growth not only in their day to day life but in their spiritual life. Third grade was my first teaching experience and I loved this age because of their sweet spirits and eagerness to learn and take on more challenges. Now moving on to fourth grade, I can really see how God is forming them into his children as they prepare for middle school. So many exciting things happen in fourth grade and I can’t wait to meet each child as they come through the door.
