Erin Tripp (she/her)

Erin Tripp has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Erin began their career in 2006 as a Videographer and News Editorial at CTV, where they worked until 2009. In 2010, Erin served as a Volunteer for the Right to Know Coalition of Nova Scotia and as the Chair of the Information Without Borders Conference Planning Committee.

From 2011 to 2014, Erin worked at CloudScout Information Services as a Principal and Information Specialist. At CloudScout, they conducted research and analysis for government, private sector, and non-profit projects.

From 2011 to 2017, Erin held multiple roles at discoverygarden inc., including Business Development Manager and Project Manager. Erin managed digital asset management projects and collaborated with the open-source software community to understand the needs of digital libraries.

In 2017, Erin joined DuraSpace as a Business Development Manager and later served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from 2018 to 2019. During their time at DuraSpace, they engaged in strategic partnerships, evaluated market strategies, and secured federal grant funding. Erin also played a significant role in the merger of DuraSpace with LYRASIS.

Since 2019, Erin has been working at LYRASIS. Erin served as the Director of DuraSpace Community Supported Programs and was responsible for the launch and management of the Research and Innovation division. Erin has managed large program budgets and administered multi-year, grant-funded projects worth millions of dollars.

In 2022, Erin briefly served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at LYRASIS, collaborating with the Board of Trustees and the Chief Financial Officer to develop organizational budgets and invest in critical infrastructure.

Erin Tripp pursued a Bachelor of Journalism and Spanish (BJH) degree from the University of King's College, between the years 2002 and 2006. Subsequently, they attended Dalhousie University from 2009 to 2011 and obtained a Master of Library and Information Studies degree. In 2011, Erin participated in an 8-week program at CWS Sales Consulting to enhance their expertise in Master Solution Sales. Erin later focused on developing their skills in Human Resources by undertaking a program at Battah Associates & ProfitLearn in 2011. To further enrich their professional profile, Erin pursued a Certificate in Agile Project Management from Procept Associates LTD. in 2013. Additionally, they completed a course on Secondary Research and Market Intelligence at Blue Sage Research in the same year. In 2018, Erin enhanced their understanding of Change Management by completing the Critical Strategies for Implementing and Managing Organizational Change program at Library Juice Academy. Furthermore, Erin undertook several certificate courses at Lehigh University, starting with the Certificate in Creating an Environment for Courageous Inclusion in 2021. Erin then pursued a Certificate in Project Management Foundations: Leading in a Virtual World in 2022 and is anticipated to complete a Certificate in Essentials of Negotiation in 2023.
