Ashley Wells

Ashley Wells is an accomplished set designer who has worked with some of the most prestigious theatre companies in the country. Ashley is currently the Executive Producer at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, where they oversee all aspects of production.

Ashley got their start in theatre working as a set designer with Virginia Repertory Theatre. Ashley designed the sets for The Wiz and other productions. After working with Virginia Repertory Theatre for a year, they moved on to Charleston Stage, where they designed the sets for Bright Star, Elf: The Musical, and Mamma Mia!.

In 2018, Ashley began working with Southern Repertory Theatre as their set designer. Ashley designed the sets for Azul, Eclipsed, and Fun Home. Ashley's work on Azul earned their critical acclaim, and the production was a world premiere.

After working with Southern Repertory Theatre for a year, Ashley moved on to Stages Repertory Theatre. There they designed the sets for Miracle on 34th Street - A Live Radio Play, Sex With Strangers, and The Revisionist. All three productions received positive reviews, with particular praise for Ashley's work on Miracle on 34th Street.

Ashley has also worked as a set designer with Casa Manana and Trike Theatre. Ashley is currently still working with Trike Theatre, where they have designed the sets for several productions.

Ashley Wells has a M.F.A. in Scenic Design from Kent State University and a B.A. in Theatre from Ashland University.

Their manager is Michael Baron, Producing Artistic Director.
