Markus Ritala

Markus Ritala has a diverse work experience spanning various companies. Markus is currently employed at M-Files, where they hold the position of Group Product Manager. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Product Manager in the same company.

Before joining M-Files, Markus worked at Sandvik as a Delivery Manager in the Business Intelligence & Information department of IT Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology. Markus held this position for three years.

Prior to Sandvik, Markus worked at Intelligentpipe as a Product Manager from September 2016 to October 2018.

Markus also has extensive experience working at Microsoft, where they held several roles. Markus was a Senior Manager in SW Product and Program Management, where they were responsible for the software of Lumia smartphones. Markus also worked as a Lead Program Manager in charge of defining application content and software branding for Lumia phones. Additionally, they served as an Operator & Markets Requirement Manager.

Before joining Microsoft, Markus worked at Nokia in various roles. Markus was an Operator & Markets Requirement Manager as well as a Senior Manager in In-Markets Portfolio Management. Markus also worked as a Principal Product Manager for Symbian Belle SW release.

Markus began their career at Nokia Oyj as the Head of Consumer Experience Projects. In this role, they led projects related to consumer experience and usability for a Nokia smartphone product family.

Markus Ritala pursued their education in Information Technology from 1997 to 2003 at the Tampere University of Technology. Markus obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in this field during their time at the university.
