Oriona Spaulding

Oriona Spaulding currently serves as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund, since October 2021. Prior to this role, Oriona Spaulding had a distinguished tenure at Microsoft from September 2007 to October 2021, where responsibilities included Chief of Staff for the EVP of Business Development and Senior Director & Chief of Staff for the Small, Medium & Corporate business segment, which generated over $20 billion in revenue. Additional leadership roles at Microsoft encompassed Director of Global Government Affairs and Director of PR & Executive Communications for the COO, as well as business management for the Chairman of Emerging Markets. Earlier in the career, Oriona Spaulding practiced as an Antitrust Attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. Oriona Spaulding holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and International Relations from the University of California, Davis.
