Nate Ellis

Nate Ellis is passionate about partnering with entrepreneurs to help them win market share and accelerate growth.

Prior to M33, Nate was an investor at Battery Ventures where he focused on partnering with technology and tech-enabled services businesses addressing industrial end-markets. Prior to Battery Ventures, Nate worked at Aeris Partners, a software-focused investment bank, where he helped private companies grow through raising capital and executing mergers and acquisitions. At Aeris Partners, Nate had the opportunity to work with companies across a number of different vertical application markets including: Healthcare IT, Construction, and Education. This work included Net Health’s sale to The Carlyle Group, Dexter + Chaney’s sale to Viewpoint, Finalsite’s sale to Bridge Growth Partners, and Grammarly’s growth capital raise. Prior to Aeris Partners, Nate worked as a Partner Development Associate at Openbay and an Investment Banking Analyst at Shields & Company.

Nate graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in Economics, and played on the varsity baseball and golf teams. He serves as a mentor for Minds Matter Boston, which helps high school students from low-income families prepare for the college admissions process. As a Massachusetts native, Nate is an avid Boston sports fan and enjoys traveling, watersports, and spending time with friends and family.
