Monica Boicu

Monica Boicu has over 8 years of experience in software engineering. Monica began their career in 2012 as a Java Developer at Endava, where they implemented an event-driven application using Mule ESB platform to integrate REST and SOAP services, including one 3rd party. Monica also defined one CI/CD Jenkins pipeline which used Mule's REST Api to manage the cluster and redesigned 90% of page layouts and template changes using Polopoly CMS. In 2014, they worked as a Java Developer at SAZ IT, where they coded 3 web applications for restaurants and veterinary clinics. Monica also worked at Youngculture, where they completed a 2-month Hybris onboarding training. At MIND CTI, they completed Java 6, JSF, Delphi, SVN and Mind Bill product trainings and performed change requests and improved code quality. From 2015-2017, Monica worked at NTT DATA Romania as a Team Leader/Java Developer, where they developed and improved code quality for 2 customer-facing projects to reduce complexity and improve performance. Monica also led a distributed team of 3 developers and 2 testers working on an internal application. From 2017-2022, they worked at 8x8 as a Staff Software Engineer, Senior Java Developer, and Java Developer. In this role, they designed and implemented the solution for replacing legacy interactions between 5 services from Corba and Irisa to Kafka and Rest APIs for the contact center projects. Monica also defined a new event-driven architecture for legacy interactions routing service using Kafka and Redis and migrated 3 services for customer provisioning from datacenters to Kubernetes. Currently, Monica is a Senior Software Engineer | Level 4 at m3ter.

Monica Boicu is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Universitatea “Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca, which they began in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2023.
