Tommy Ramirez

Tommy Ramirez is the current Director of the MAAC Community Charter School at MAAC PROJECT METROPOLITAN AREA ADVISORY COMMITTE. Tommy has held this position for 5 years and 6 months. Prior to this, they served as Dean of Students at MAAC Charter School for 10 years and 1 month, where they were responsible for leadership development, discipline, and transformative and restorative practices. Tommy also served as Director of Youth Advocacy at MAAC Community Charter School for 5 years and 4 months.

Tommy Ramirez attended UC San Diego from 1997 to 2001, where they studied sociology as part of the Teacher Education Program with a focus on Ethnic Studies. During their time at UC San Diego, Tommy was involved with EAOP, YOC, WSWA, and Rimac. Tommy also holds a high school diploma from Redlands High School, which they earned in 1997.

The team is made up of directors who oversee different areas of the school, including health, finance, child development, and human resources. Together, they work to ensure that the school is running smoothly and that students have the resources they need to succeed.
