Head of People Ops at mabl

Ariana Gett is currently the Head of People Ops at mabl. Prior to this, they were the Director of Human Resources at edX from April 2018 to April 2022. In this role, they worked as a business partner to executives across edX, developing strategies around employee engagement, retention, change management and talent management. Ariana also ran the day-to-day operations of the HR, total rewards and facilities teams. Additionally, Ariana aided in the acquisition of edX by 2U by providing critical HR information for closing the deal.

Before their time at edX, Ariana was a Human Resources Business Partner at athenahealth from May 2014 to March 2018. In this role, they maintained strong relationships with managers and leaders across the technology organization, supporting 400 individual contributors and 50 people management leaders. Ariana reviewed, determined, and anticipated critical HR-related needs and demands while executing current HR objectives. Additionally, Ariana evaluated talent metrics, particularly attrition, to recognize patterns and help with retention. Ariana also conducted exit interviews/terminations as necessary and partnered with managers on performance management, disputes, investigations, and accommodation requests. Furthermore, Ariana partnered closely with the organizational leaders and line managers to continuously nourish and enhance employee capabilities and improve the talent management procedures that helped achieve the company’s objectives. Ariana also collaborated on a new competency framework to support an agile transformation and the introduction of 2 distinct engineering career paths. Lastly, they coached people managers regarding employee engagement, career development, and building effective teams. Ariana also led monthly manager trainings, made new managers’ onboarding guides, and facilitated peer-to-peer learning.

Ariana Gett has a Master of Arts in Theatre Education from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management from Roger Williams University.

They work with Mary Kate Morrison - Head of Customer Success, John Vandersande - Head of Technical Talent, and Geoff Cooney - Head of Technology. Their manager is Dan Belcher, Co-Founder.
