James Popperwell

James Popperwell is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in High Court litigation, international arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. Currently serving as Senior Counsel and Partner at Macfarlanes since September 2013, James previously held the position of Senior Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP from April 2010 to August 2013. Additionally, James was a Managing Associate at Addleshaw Goddard from September 1999 to March 2010. James Popperwell’s academic background includes a CPE and LPC from the College of Law, York, and a degree in Modern Languages from Durham University, complemented by foundational education at The Manchester Grammar School.
