Nora Asha Gurung has held several roles in the financial services and technology sectors since 2017. Nora Asha began their career at Columbia Business School as a Research Author and Research Associate for the Digital Financial Services Observatory, where they presented their research on de-risking at the International Money Transfer Conference. In 2018, they took on a role as a RegTech Consultant at NORC at the University of Chicago, as well as a Digital Financial Services Specialist at Thamel Remit. In 2021, they joined PwC as a Digital Financial Services Specialist and in 2022 they became Vice President of Women Leaders in Technology (WLiT). Currently, they are the Director of Product and Product Manager at Machnet Technologies Inc, where they are building a unified API that pools together all components required for businesses to offer cross border payments services.
Nora Asha Gurung completed their Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a Minor in Information Science, from Cornell University between 2013 and 2017. Between 2015 and 2016, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a General Course in Economics. Prior to that, they obtained an International Baccalaureate from United World College Costa Rica between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Money Transfers from the Digital Frontiers Institute in May 2019.
