Jian Wang has extensive work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in the development of xDSL (digital subscriber line) products. Jian started their career at Nortel Japan as a System Engineer in 1992 and later joined Nortel/Bell Northern Research as a Design Engineer in 1994. In 1998, they became a Senior Engineer at GlobespanVirata/GlobeSpan Inc, where they led the SoC team in designing xDSL CPE (customer premises equipment) products. From 2003 to 2009, Jian worked at Conexant Systems as a Manager, overseeing the development and integration of multiple DSP cores for xDSL products. Jian then joined Ikanos Communications in 2009 as a Principle Engineer/Manager, where they developed FPGA-based SERDES framer and integrated MIPS34Kc in SoC. Jian's next role was at Qualcomm in 2015, where they served as a Senior Staff Engineer, responsible for digital and DSP design for xDSL Mixed-Signal ASIC. Currently, Jian is working as a Principal Design Engineer at MACOM.
Jian Wang obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) specializing in Multi-processor Fault Tolerant Systems and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) from the University of Washington, where they studied from 1990 to 1992.
