Novak Farrington has extensive experience in engineering and management roles. Novak worked at MACOM from 2016 to 2022, where they served as Director of Engineering and was responsible for various tasks, including handling technical customer support, leading investigation teams, managing the MMIC design team, and restructuring the engineering lab. Novak also served as the Santa Clara site Director. Prior to that, they worked at Teledyne Microwave Solutions as an Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer, focusing on the development and manufacture of complex microwave assemblies and sub-systems. Novak also gained experience in frequency synthesis and conversion technology. Earlier in their career, Novak worked at e2v aerospace and defense as an Applications Engineer and Program Manager, where they had a customer-facing role in programs involving US defense contractors. Novak also worked at The University of Manchester as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and at Integrated Compound Semiconductors as a Technical Consultant. Novak started their career as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the University of Leeds.
Novak Farrington graduated from Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School in 1996, where they completed their GCSEs and A-Levels. Novak then attended the University of Leeds from 1996 to 2000, earning a BEng in Electronic Engineering. Afterward, they pursued a PhD in Electronic Engineering at the University of Leeds from 2000 to 2005.
