Nathanael Kitingan has extensive experience in the legal field, having worked in various roles at different firms. Nathanael started their career as an Articled Clerk at Best Hooper Lawyers in 2005. Nathanael then worked as a Lawyer at A'Beckett Lawyers from 2006 to 2008. After that, they joined Leonard Legal as a Lawyer from 2009 to 2010. Nathanael returned to A'Beckett Lawyers as an Associate from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Legal Research Editor at the National Commission on Violence Against Women in Indonesia. In 2012, they joined Macpherson Kelley and held several roles including Senior Associate, Special Counsel, and Principal Lawyer until 2021. Nathanael is currently working as the Managing Principal Lawyer at Macpherson Kelley's Melbourne office. Alongside their legal career, Nathanael has also served in leadership positions such as President and Vice President of the Australia Malaysia Business Council Victoria and Vice President of LIV Young Lawyers at the Law Institute of Victoria. Nathanael is also a Director at Jesselton Capital since 2015.
Nathanael Kitingan completed their LLB in Law and BSc in Genetics at Monash University from 1999 to 2003. In 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) in Commercial Litigation at The College of Law Australia. In 2017, they obtained the ARITA Advanced Certificate of Insolvency from the University of Technology Sydney. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications such as Accredited Specialist - Commercial Litigation from the Law Institute of Victoria and Professional Member from ARITA - Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association. Nathanael is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator (NMAS) accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria. In 2006, they became a Barrister & Solicitor admitted to the High Court of Australia and an Australian Lawyer admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
