Gabriela Dontu

Gabriela Dontu is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and academic sectors. Currently serving as the Regional Medical Scientist Director at Merck since September 2022, Gabriela also holds the position of Medical Science Liaison at MacroGenics, Inc. and ASTROTIDE, INC. since April 2021 and January 2019, respectively. Prior to these roles, Gabriela was an Associate Professor (Reader) and Visitor Senior Lecturer at King's College London from April 2009 to October 2018, and a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan from June 2006 to April 2009. Gabriela began a medical career as a Resident Doctor at ST. Spiridon University Hospital from September 1990 to June 1994. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology, Molecular Biology from Kansas State University and a medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School.
