Huai-Yu (Michelle) Cheng is a Senior Researcher at Macronix International Co., LTD, with a tenure beginning in May 2008. Cheng leads material development for the IBM/MXIC PCRAM joint project, focusing on the R&D of selector devices for 3D cross-point memory arrays, threshold switching materials, and phase-change materials for storage class memory and embedded systems. Additional responsibilities include conducting time-resolved XRD studies at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Prior experience at Macronix includes a role as a Researcher from February 2007 to March 2008, concentrating on thin film and etching uni-process development for phase change memory. Cheng holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), a Master's degree, and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, all obtained from National Tsing Hua University, completing studies from 2001 to 2007.
