Nicola Willoughby

Nicola Willoughby has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent position was as a Pastry Chef at HiPPO Restaurant, which they started in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Recipe Developer at Macrostax starting in 2020, where they created healthy recipes and calculated macronutrient information. Nicola also worked as a Senior Pastry Chef at Tartine Bakery from 2020 to 2022, where they implemented strategies to optimize workflow and managed bakery inventory.

Before their culinary roles, Nicola worked as an Executive Assistant at HISTORY TV18 from 2019 to 2020, where they assisted the Executive Producer with scheduling, travel arrangements, and communication. Nicola also served as a Floor Manager at Plate & Petal from 2017 to 2018, overseeing a team of servers and ensuring quality service.

Nicola has experience in the entertainment industry as well. Nicola interned as a Development Intern at UBISOFT MOTION PICTURES in 2018, where they performed script analysis, administrative duties, and client interface. Nicola also worked as a Writer's Personal Assistant for Roger Wolfson from 2017 to 2018, managing day-to-day activities and assisting with television pitches.

Nicola's earlier work experience includes roles as a Barista at The Daily Grind from 2014 to 2017, a Teacher's Assistant at Johns Hopkins University, Film and Media Department in 2016, where they graded assignments for a film analysis course, and a Public Relations Intern at Omelet in 2016, where they assisted in maintaining the company's public image through administrative tasks and fieldwork.

Nicola Willoughby pursued their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Film at The Johns Hopkins University from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, they also participated in a semester abroad program in Creative Writing, Film, and Media at the University of St Andrews. Recently, in 2021 and 2022, Nicola obtained a certification in Nutrition and Healthy Living from eCornell.
