Xavi Sumarroca

Xavi Sumarroca is an experienced Engineering Manager at Mad Collective since November 2017, where leadership of two cross-functional teams includes Backend/Frontend Developers, QAs, and Designers. Xavi actively collaborates with fellow Engineering Managers on strategic technical decisions and has contributed to key initiatives such as the OnCall and Observability strategy. Previous roles at Mad Collective include Technical Lead, focusing on collaborative design and development while fostering team growth and continuous improvement, and Software Developer, addressing complex backend challenges in high-traffic environments and managing legacy code. Prior experiences include a Software Engineer role at Eraltech, where Xavi supported over 200 IoT devices in the automotive manufacturing sector, and a Software Developer position at Sivicom Systems, SL, involving project management and R&D in machine automation and computer vision. Xavi holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
