Jamie Wilkinson

Jamie Wilkinson's work experience begins in 2013 with a summer placement at the University of Bristol as a NERC Research Placement, where they contributed to a research project on the effects of ocean acidification. In this role, Jamie conducted a morphometric study and constructed 3D models of bivalve specimens.

Following their placement, Jamie worked at the University of Bristol as a Contract Researcher alongside their 4th year studies. Their responsibilities included constructing 3D models of Foraminifera using CT-scans and reporting results using LaTeX.

In 2014, Jamie joined OC Robotics as a Junior Software Engineer. They worked within a small team developing and testing software for robot control. Their responsibilities included developing C++ drivers for various devices, creating C++ libraries for robot kinematics, extending and maintaining a WPF UI, and supporting on-site and remote deployments of robotic systems.

Within OC Robotics, Jamie progressed to the role of Software Engineer. In this position, their responsibilities expanded to include developing robot control software on desktop and embedded platforms, focusing on DevOps related activities. They were responsible for toolchain, process, and automation improvements in the team.

Most recently, Jamie joined Made Tech as a Senior Software Engineer in February 2022. Additional details about this role were not provided.

Jamie Wilkinson attended the University of Bristol from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Science - MSci degree in Physics.
