Dom Flemons is an accomplished artist and co-founding member of the GRAMMY Award-winning group Carolina Chocolate Drops, with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as an artist with Madison House since February 2020, Flemons is also a Board Member of The Recording Academy's Washington DC Chapter, a position held since 2011. Previous affiliations include roles as an artist with Omnivore Recordings, Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, and a tenure at Concerted Efforts from 2009 to 2019. Notably, Flemons participated as an Artist in Residence at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in 2018, contributing to the "Making American Music" initiative. Dom Flemons holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Northern Arizona University, completed in 2005.
