Laura Whitmore

Laura Whitmore is an experienced operations manager currently working at Madison School & Community Recreation since February 2024. Previously, Laura held the position of Community Partnership Coordinator at Madison Metropolitan School District from November 2014 to February 2024. From January 2000 to November 2014, Laura managed marketing and community relations for Madison, Wisconsin, overseeing communications for 265 parks and over 50 events. Earlier, Laura served as Volunteer Manager for the City of Madison, where responsibilities included developing volunteer policies and managing a substantial volunteer base. Laura's career began with the Peace Corps as an English as a Second Language Teacher from June 1993 to August 1995.
