Walter John Whitehead

Walter John Whitehead has a diverse background in investment banking and financial advisory. Walter John currently serves as a Managing Director at Madison Street Capital, a global investment banking firm. Walter is responsible for providing corporate financial advisory services and expertise in mergers and acquisitions. Walter John has been with the company since May 2020.

Prior to joining Madison Street Capital, Walter worked as the Head of Investor Relations at 4thMVMT, a social equity company in the U.S. cannabis sector. Walter John held this role from April 2018 to April 2020.

From March 2012 to February 2020, Walter was the Co-Founder & Managing Partner at A.J. Baron Capital, a middle-market investment bank. In this position, they oversaw day-to-day activities and the transaction pipeline.

Before their time at A.J. Baron Capital, Walter worked as an Analyst in Private Wealth Management at J.P. Morgan from July 2010 to March 2012.

In 2007, Walter participated in a Study Abroad Program at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they focused on International Business. Two years later, in 2009, they attended the Harvard Business School's Summer Venture in Management Program, earning a certificate for their studies.

In addition to their formal education, Walter also obtained several certifications. Walter John completed the Series 7 certification and became a General Securities Representative in December 2010. In 2020, they obtained the Series 79 certification, becoming an Investment Banking Registered Representative, and also achieved the Series 63 certification in Uniform Securities Agent State Law. Most recently, in February 2023, Walter obtained the Series 65 certification in Uniform Investment Adviser Law from FINRA.
