Joris Verhelst

Joris Verhelst is a Financial Advisor at Madoqua Ventures, starting in September 2023, with a focus on advising the board of Madoqua Renewables in the development of decarbonisation projects through Power-2-X technology. Prior to this role, Joris held the position of Managing Director and Head of Project and Asset Based Finance at ING from April 2015 to September 2023, where responsibilities included leading teams in the structuring and distribution of Project Finance and Asset Based Finance loans across various sectors such as TMT, Energy, Offshore Services, Infrastructure, Metals & Mining, Transportation, and Structured Export Finance. Joris also has experience in Credit Structuring, Advisory, and Leveraged Finance at ING from February 2000 to March 2015. Educational background includes studies at the University of Groningen and Het Nieuwe Lyceum Hilversum.
