Community, Partnerships & Content Manager at Madre Mezcal

Sophia Forino began their career in 2015 as an Intern for JAM, Inc. Sophia then interned for KOCI Radio 101.5 in 2016, where they answered/filtered on-air phone calls, assisted in advertisement recording, and learned basics in sound editing. In 2016, they also interned for Funsten & Franzen, where they assisted an entertainment attorney and managed attendance for their UCLA Music Copyright class. That same year, they served as Talent Booker/Director of Artist Relations for the JazzReggae Festival, curating, negotiating, and booking the musician line-up. In 2017, they were Promotions Manager and DJ Representative for UCLA Radio, managing department members and organizing giveaways. Sophia also interned for Grand Plan Entertainment, assisting music supervisors and coordinators in project submission tracking and downloading, song filing, and lyric sheet assistance. In 2018, they worked for Ace Hotel/Atelier Ace as Brand Marketing/Sales & Cultural Programming Coordinator, collaborating with graphic design and copy teams to develop and deliver digital and physical assets for events/partnerships, digital and experiential marketing. Sophia then interned for Interscope Records, where they assisted with online content analysis and feedback, developed copy & creative assets for social media, and supported the marketing team in product planning initiatives and artist and influencer collaboration program. In 2021, Sophia began working for MADRE MEZCAL as Community, Partnerships & Content Manager and Community Manager.

Sophia Forino obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2018, studying Communication and Media Studies, Music Industry, and Music Theirtory. Additionally, they achieved a certification in iMovie 10.1.8 Essential Training from LinkedIn in April 2018.
