Stefan Wigand has been working in the industry since 1993. Stefan began their career at Treads Bicycle Outfitters, a family business founded in Parker, Colorado, where they were responsible for retail sales and bicycle mechanics. Stefan was highly ranked for sales in the region at a very young age. In 2008, they joined Apple Retail, where they were a Specialist/Creative and opened the first Apple flagship store in the Southern Hemisphere. Stefan was one of the top salesmen in the store based on customer experience and sales. In 2009, they produced the Sydney leg of the internationally acclaimed Bicycle Film Festival two years in a row, which was one of the highest attended of the all the Bicycle Film Festivals around the world. Stefan also joined Deus Ex Machina Motorcycles PTY LTD as Sales and Customer Service Manager, launching the Deus wholesale clothing department and building the supporting back-end system including software, warehousing and shipping. Stefan was then promoted to Deus Ex Machina USA as Brand and Special Projects Manager, managing all creative and lifestyle element of the American business including graphic design, digital content, photography, video, social media, wholesale marketing support and lifestyle events. In 2013, they joined Westerlind as Brand Manager - Kletterwerks, Jungmaven, Giro New Road, Snow Peak, where they managed four boutique outdoor brands from sales through marketing and PR, doubling sales volume from the previous season. Stefan also managed the development and roll out of new sales systems and programs for all brands. In 2014, they began working as a Freelance Creative, providing marketing, brand, design and photography consultation. In 2017, they became Co-Founder of Madre Mezcal.

Stefan Wigand completed their undergraduate degree in International Studies, with a focus in Asian Studies and Japanese, at Colorado State University from 2004 to 2007. Stefan then studied at Macquarie University from 2006 to 2007, also in International Studies, with a focus in Japanese and Asian Studies.
