John Christian Hansen

John Christian Hansen has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. John Christian started their career as a Maintenance Supervisor for Maersk Drilling in July 2000 and worked on various rigs until October 2011. John Christian then became a Technical Superintendent for Maersk Drilling, overseeing the operations of different drilling units. In 2017, they took on the role of Compliance & Technical Superintendent for deep and mid-water units. Later, they became the Technical Superintendent for Maersl Deliverer, Maersk Inspirer, and Maersk Valiant. In 2016, they also served as the Project Technical Section Leader. John Christian'smost recent role at Maersk Drilling is TSL/Chief Engineer, which they started in June 2021. Prior to joining Maersk Drilling, John worked as a Superintendent and Project Manager at Marstal Skibsreparation, where they managed the daily operations of coasters and led projects for a shipping repair company.

John Christian Hansen attended the Esbjerg Marine Engineer Academy from 1994 to 1997, where they completed a degree in Marine Engineering. Prior to this, from 1986 to 1989, they studied at Søby Skibsværft Ærø, where they earned a degree in mechanics.
