Twan de Groot began their work experience in 2013 as an Intern at Bosch Rexroth, where they developed a two-bin Kanban system for floor stocks. In 2015, they worked as a Graduate Intern Supply Chain at GEA Group, analyzing and optimizing the supply and stock system for service vans. In 2018, they were a Graduate Student at Claassen Logistics, where they developed a demand forecasting model for distribution orders on a daily level. Currently, they are working as a Project Manager at MAG45, starting in November 2018.

- From 2015 to 2018, they studied at Eindhoven University of Technology and obtained a Master's degree in Operations Management & Logistics.
- In 2017 and 2018, Twan participated in an exchange program at Institut Teknologi Bandung, where they focused on Logistiek en supply chain.
- In 2014, they attended Avans University of Applied Sciences for a minor in Innovatief Ondernemen.
- Twan earned their Bachelor's degree in Technische Bedrijfskunde from Avans University of Applied Sciences between 2011 and 2015.
- For their secondary education, they studied at Cambium zaltbommel from 2006 to 2011, where they completed Hoger algemeen voortgezet onderwijs (Havo).
In addition to their educational qualifications, Twan de Groot obtained the IPMA D certification in April 2019, although the institution that granted the certification is unknown.
