Rainer Kümmerle

Rainer Kümmerle has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Rainer began their career at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau in 2013 as a Postdoc, where they worked until 2014. Following this, they joined KUKA Robotics in 2014 as the Chief Product Owner Mobile Robotics Core, a role they held until 2019. In 2019, they joined Magazino GmbH as the Team Lead Navigation & Localization, and later they became the Head of Navigation & Localization in March 2022.

Rainer Kümmerle pursued their educational journey in the field of computer science, specializing in robotics. Rainer obtained their Master's degree (Diplom) from The University of Freiburg, where they studied from 2001 to 2007. Continuing their academic pursuit, Rainer completed their Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in Computer Science at The University of Freiburg from 2007 to 2013, with a focus on robotics.
