James Bass

James Bass has extensive work experience in the engineering and design fields. James began their career in 2013 as an Academic Tutor for The Tutor Trust, where they tutored GCSE science to KS4 year 10 students. In 2014, they joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an Officer Cadet and completed the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) leadership training program. In 2016, they became Co-Founder & Director of Carved Soul LTD., where they founded a company and set up a surf and music festival. James also began working at Vanguard Advanced Systems as a Spacecraft Engineer (Entry Level). In 2017, they joined Helsby Tents Ltd as a Design Engineer, leading the design and manufacture of a 20m diameter, 7m high geodesic dome with curved timber beams and steel connections. In 2019, they began working as a Product Design Engineer for Puttshack. James then moved to McLaren Automotive Ltd in 2020 as a Design Engineer. Currently, they are a Mechanical Engineer for Magdrive.

James Bass completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from The University of Manchester between 2012 and 2017.
