Adam Heaney

Adam Heaney is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Magic Leap since April 2023, with extensive previous experience at Microsoft from June 2013 to April 2023, primarily focused on mixed reality and perception technologies. During tenure at Microsoft, Adam contributed significantly to the development of APIs and tooling for mixed reality platforms, including the creation of a new OpenXR runtime, and implemented various features to enhance the Windows Mixed Reality experience. Prior to this, Adam held several roles, including Software Development Engineer at Remix Studios and intern positions where foundational skills in software development were established. Adam holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Game Design from Northeastern University.
