Taemin Kim

Taemin Kim is a highly experienced software engineer and researcher, currently serving as Lead Calibration Software Engineer at Magic Leap since June 2023. Prior to this, Taemin worked at Microsoft for nearly four years as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on computer vision algorithms and calibration for the HoloLens. Earlier roles include positions as Senior Research Scientist and Senior Software Engineer at Facebook, where Taemin contributed to robotics and augmented reality projects. Additional experience includes senior software engineering roles at Samsung Electronics America, independent technical consulting at Hundli, and significant research as part of the NASA Ames Research Center. Taemin holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a Master's degree in Biosystems Engineering from Seoul National University.
