Weixin Wu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2008, they began their career as a Research Assistant at Clemson University, where they conducted research in Augmented Reality and developed GPGPU and FPGA acceleration.
In 2011, Wu joined AMD as an Engineer, specializing in computer vision and numerical algorithms for the company's Heterogeneous System Architecture APU. They then moved to Qualcomm in 2012, working as a Software Development Engineer and designing the world's first commercial mobile OpenCL profiler and kernel analyzer.
In 2014, Wu joined two companies simultaneously. At Amazon Lab126, they served as a Software Development Engineer and led the development of a cross-platform computer vision engine. At Orbeus Inc., which was later acquired by Amazon, Wu was a Founding Member and was involved in deep learning computer vision and NLP projects.
In 2015, Wu became a Founding Member of ReKognition@AWS at Amazon, where they executed post-merger integration plans and played a key role in delivering the Amazon Rekognition service. They also led deep learning training, infrastructure development, and model validation.
From 2016 to 2018, Wu had two significant positions. Firstly, as the Chief Scientist at Netposa Technologies, they built and led teams in research and development of computer vision deep learning modeling and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Secondly, as the VP of Technology at Ling Technology, Wu contributed to the development of an AI book reading robot called Luka Robot.
In 2018, Wu joined MagicWeaver Inc. as the CTO and later became a Board Director. They were responsible for fund raising, product strategy, partnership strategy, as well as AI and SaaS architecture.
Most recently, in 2019, Wu founded SecuritAi Inc. and took on the role of Founder and CEO.
Weixin Wu pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. Following this, Weixin Wu joined Clemson University as a Master of Science student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After completing the Master's program, Weixin Wu further continued their education at Clemson University as a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2008 to 2011.
