Ali Idle Hirey

Ali Idle Hirey is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Corporate Finance Manager at MAG (Mines Advisory Group) since July 2017, with previous roles including Deputy Country Director and Finance and Support Services Manager within the organization. In these roles, Ali has been instrumental in producing annual statutory accounts, contributing to strategic leadership, ensuring program quality, managing risk, and developing donor proposals. Prior to MAG, Ali worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland Business as a Relationship Support Manager and Senior Lending Adviser, demonstrating strong financial advisory skills. Additional experience includes serving as a Trustee for the Gateway Support Group, a Data Input Administrator at Bolton Council, and a Finance Officer at Development Initiative Access Link (DIAL). Ali holds a Master’s degree in Public Financial Management from the University of London, a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and an AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, along with ongoing ACCA studies.
