Alex Lim

Alex Lim has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Alex is currently the Director of Sales - Telco at Magna Systems & Engineering, starting in August 2022. In this role, they are responsible for business development in the South East Asia region, focusing on the telecommunication industry.

Prior to their current position, Alex worked as a Business Development Manager at Magna Systems & Engineering from October 2019 to October 2022. In this role, they were in charge of the South East Asia region and was responsible for planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives, identifying and establishing rapport with potential clients, and researching new opportunities in the telecommunication industry.

Before joining Magna Systems & Engineering, Alex worked at Optus as a Senior Technical Specialist from February 2018 to October 2019. In this role, they were responsible for Network Planning and Regional Performance in the New South Wales state. Alex was involved in national benchmarking, ensuring performance KPIs were met, managing projects and vendors, supporting the sales team, and coordinating the 2100MHz refarming exercise. Alex achieved several accomplishments, including maintaining the #1 position in the P3 public benchmarking and successfully planning and building over 100 sites.

Prior to Optus, Alex worked at Singtel as a Manager, Radio Network Performance from December 2012 to February 2018. In this role, they were in charge of network planning and optimization in the East Zone of Singapore. Alex was involved in network optimization projects, outdoor projects, and the antenna evaluation and tendering process with procurement.

Alex began their career at Maxis as an RF Network Planning Engineer from May 2011 to November 2012, where they were responsible for RF planning in the southern region. Alex performed NPV analysis, coverage plotting, and used Atoll Planning Tool.

Alex also worked at ZTE (M) Corp. Sdn. Bhd. as an RF Engineer from January 2010 to April 2011. Alex was in charge of the P1 Wimax Project and served as a team leader for the CVT Team. Alex used ZTE NetNumen for monitoring and performed optimization tasks.
