Sarah Shewan

Sarah Shewan, CPA, is an accomplished accounting professional with experience in financial management and automation across various organizations. Currently an Accountant at Magnetar Capital since April 2023, Sarah manages and reconciles financial records for multiple entities. Previous roles include Associate Director of Finance at Big Ten Conference, where Sarah automated accounts payable and receivable processes, and Accounting Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Sarah streamlined tenant billing. Sarah's career began with an internship at Cozad Asset Management, followed by a role as a Staff Financial Services Auditor at EY, developing effective communication and problem-solving skills. Educational accomplishments include a Master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Quinnipiac University.
