Max Wintermark

Max W. serves as the Professor and Chair of Neuroradiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center since February 2022. Prior to this role, Max W. held the position of Professor of Radiology and Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford University from August 2014 to February 2022, and before that, was the Associate Professor of Radiology and Chief of Neuroradiology at the University of Virginia from November 2009 to July 2014. Max W. began academic career at UCSF, where the roles included Assistant and then Associate Professor of Radiology from April 2004 to October 2009. Academic credentials include an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, a MAS in Clinical Research from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, among other specialized training in neuroradiology and diagnostic radiology.
