Stuart Paterson

Stuart Paterson has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Stuart most recently served as the Director of Engineering & Site Lead at Magnify, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Engineering at Slice from December 2020 to April 2022.

Before joining Slice, Stuart worked at Chef Software, where they held the position of Engineering Manager from July 2019 to November 2020. Stuart also served as a Principal Software Development Engineer from March 2018 to July 2019.

Stuart gained valuable experience at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they held multiple roles starting in July 2011. Stuart served as a Cloud Services Architect from April 2016 to March 2018, an Agile and Engineering Coach/Design Authority from March 2014 to April 2016, and an Application Developer/Product Manager from July 2011 to March 2014.

Prior to their time at JPMorgan, Stuart worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London from January 2010 to April 2011.

Stuart started their career at CERN, where they were a Fellow from November 2006 to October 2009.

Stuart Paterson completed their education with a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics from the University of Glasgow, which they pursued from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued an MPhys degree in Mathematical Physics from The University of Edinburgh, which they completed between 1998 and 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, Stuart has obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance, both in 2014.
