McKenna Fitzgerald is an experienced research manager and mentor with a strong background in artificial intelligence policy, stakeholder communication, and project management. Currently serving as Research Manager at ML Alignment & Theory Scholars, McKenna oversees research progress and facilitates communication between scholars and mentors. McKenna's previous roles include Deputy Director at the Global Catastrophic Risk Institute, where analysis of AI policy and grant proposal submissions were key responsibilities, and serving on the Board of Directors at Magnify Mentoring, providing mentorship to women in high-impact careers.
