Rod R.

Rod R. has worked in the web development and engineering field since 2002. Rod began their career at Inman News as the Director of Web/IT and Web/IT Administrator, where they developed custom Drupal templates and modules, maintained front-end and back-end websites, and produced email templates for marketing campaigns and daily news alerts. In 2012, they joined Mashery (later acquired by Intel) as a Web Developer, where they supported multiple iterations of the corporate website for re-design and re-branding campaigns, as well as optimizing the site for mobile and organic search. From 2014 to 2021, Rod R. worked as a Freelance Web Developer, working on projects for Magnitude.io, IOV, Huxley, Upperstrata, Amcor, Fractal Wellness, Upview, BookUp, and The Amazing Hostel Sayulita. In 2016, they joined Codeworks as a Full Stack Developer (Student), where they worked on projects such as Botmonkey and Facebook Messenger chatbot for managing patient intake and health data. In 2019, they became the Director of Engineering at Magnitude.io, where they managed a small developer team and worked on the learning management platform. Rod is currently working as an Investor and Strategic Advisor for Pink Coconuts.

Rod R. obtained a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Rod then attended Codeworks in 2016-2017 to study Computer Science. In 2014, they began studying User Experience Design at General Assembly. Rod also attended Notre Dame de Namur University for Computer and Information Science, Ohlone College for Computer Science, and De Anza College for a Certificate in Web Development. Additionally, they completed the Data Science for All course by Correlation One. In 2013, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
