Christian Hartel has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Christian began their career as an Officer and Secretary at Coop, where they worked from 1994 to 1997. Christian then held various part-time and temporary roles at Divers from 1997 to 2001.
In 2002, Christian joined the Finanzdepartement Basel-Stadt, Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung, where they served as a Project Officer and Manager until 2005, focusing on strategic issues such as performance reviews, corporate communications, and HR and team controlling.
From 2005 to 2007, Christian worked at museum.bl as a Project Manager, overseeing the entire process of managing an exhibition project, including content, finance, scheduling, events, and marketing activities.
Christian then transitioned to the Psychiatrie Baselland in 2007, where they took on the role of Personalfachmann Personalentwicklung. In this role, they were responsible for internal development, vocational education, and HRM processes.
In 2011, Christian had two roles simultaneously. Christian joined BVB Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe as the Head of Personnel and Organizational Development (POD), leading the corporate education and development schemes, workplace health management, and supervising organizational development and employee happiness. Christian also joined AKAD Business as a Lecturer, preparing students in achieving their diploma in HRM principles and acting as an exam author and expert.
Christian's most recent role was as the Head of Human Resources at Magnolia International Ltd., starting in 2016. Christian then transitioned to the role of HR Manager until November 2018, where they were responsible for HCM-matters and Organizational Development across the international software company.
Christian Hartel has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from FHNW School of Business, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Christian also has a Certificate of Advanced Studies in "Applied Psychology for HR Practice" from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, completed in 2015-2016. In 2018, they completed a CAS in International Human Resource Management from ZHAW School of Management and Law. Additionally, they have a Personalfachmann mit eidg. Fachausweis from HR Swiss Exams, which they earned in 2008-2009. Christian has also undergone coaching in the method "Change Check" from promove™ in 2013.
