Gowri Shankar Shanmugam

Gowri Shankar SHANMUGAM has extensive work experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on vehicle engineering and design. Gowri Shankar is currently a Senior Lead Engineer at Mahindra and Mahindra Limited's Automotive and Farm Equipment Business. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Manager - Vehicle Synthesis Manager at Stellantis from 2020 to 2023.

Before joining Stellantis, Gowri Shankar had various roles within the RENAULT NISSAN MITSUBISHI ALLIANCE, INDIA. As a Vehicle Architect from 2018 to 2020, they supported the chief Vehicle engineer in various vehicle integration tasks, such as interface management and geometrical convergence. Gowri Shankar also played a crucial role in meeting the vehicle's style intent and ensuring the verification of integration rules during the development cycle.

Gowri Shankar has also held positions at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, where they led the System Installation team from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Corporate Technical Leader at Renault from 2013 to 2015, where they focused on designing wiring harnesses and implementing design standards and methodologies.

Earlier in their career, Gowri Shankar gained experience as a Project Leader for Wiring Harness Layout Design & Development at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi from 2008 to 2013. Gowri Shankar also worked at Eicher Engineering Solutions as a Design Engineer and at Caparo Engineering India Ltd as an Engineer in Hot Forging Die Making. Finally, they started their career as an Engineer in the Tool room at elforge.

Gowri Shankar SHANMUGAM earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University in the years 1999-2003. Later, they pursued a Masters in Engineering in Automobile Engineering from Anna University from 2009 to 2012.
