Heather Schmidt

Heather Schmidt currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Strategic Planning & Innovation at Main Line Health, a position held since July 2024. Prior to this role, Heather spent nearly 26 years at Vanguard in various leadership positions, including Senior Manager of Planning and Portfolio Management, where responsibilities included managing team dynamics and project management efforts. Additional roles included Senior Manager of Strategic Programs and Modernization PMO, focusing on governance models and decision-making processes, and Business Program Manager, where expertise in modernizing work practices was leveraged. Heather has a strong background in organizational readiness, process improvement, and instructional design, having led multiple teams in these capacities. Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Thomas Edison State College.
